ABOUT

Mentors

The primary role of the Service Mentors is to serve as a support system for first year students and help them transition into college life. Mentors are charged with helping students better understand available resources and opportunities, encouraging students to learn and participating campus traditions, and facilitating discussions and activities throughout camp. They also assist with planning the small-group activities called “Group Huddles” and facilitating the curriculum through “Service Summits” that helps student understand the importance of community service and how it enhances their academic experience.  Connections made at R.O.C.K. Camp Service are very strong, as students have to depend on each other very heavily during this program, and the mentors help students maintain these connections throughout their first year and college careers!
