ABOUT

What is R.O.C.K. Camp Service?

R.O.C.K. Camp Service is an exciting initiative held in conjunction with the Center for Community Engagement. R.O.C.K. Camp Service will encourage you to focus on service and community, all while networking with other new students to learn what it means to be a new razorback.  This program seeks to empower students through service to change the world!

What should I expect?

R.O.C.K. Camp Service will undoubtedly be an experience that you will never forget! You will not only learn about the impact of service and volunteerism, but will also make friends with other new students and upperclassmen that serve as Mentors for the program. The knowledge gained and the relationships built will be the perfect beginning to your college career.  Service projects during the program can include home construction and restoration, natural habitat restoration, green space management, youth leadership development programs, and many others. Students will also have the opportunity to hear from and network with community leaders about the issues facing the people of this area.
